Awakening: The Breaking Before the Becoming

An awakening is different for everyone, but at its core, it’s a moment in life where you’re called to question everything—who you are, what you believe, and what truly aligns with your soul. It’s often triggered by a major life shift, deep emotional pain, or even an unshakable feeling that something isn’t quite right.

For me, I thought my life was perfect. I had everything I was supposed to want, and yet, something inside me began to shift. I started feeling things I couldn’t explain, experiencing moments that didn’t make sense, and emotions that had been buried deep in my nervous system started rising to the surface. At the time, I didn’t know what was happening. But looking back, I now see it for what it was—my awakening.

The Discomfort of Awakening

An awakening isn’t a peaceful experience at first. It shakes you, strips away the illusions, and forces you to see the parts of yourself you’ve been avoiding. Old wounds resurface. Relationships shift. The things that once felt comfortable no longer make sense.

But this discomfort isn’t punishment—it’s a necessary clearing. It’s your soul’s way of making space for something greater.

Stepping Into Alignment

One of the most powerful realizations during an awakening is that you don’t have to force anything. The things, people, and beliefs that no longer align with your highest self start to fall away naturally. You begin to trust yourself more. You start to recognize the patterns you’ve been repeating and the lessons life has been trying to teach you.

And then, at some point, it all clicks. The struggle turns into clarity. The pain turns into purpose. The things that once felt impossible begin to flow effortlessly.

Embracing the Process

If you’re in the middle of an awakening, it might feel like everything is falling apart—but maybe it’s actually falling into place. The more you surrender to the process, the more you step into the version of yourself that was always meant to be.

Awakening isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about remembering who you’ve always been.

Have you ever gone through a time in your life where everything shifted? What did it teach you?
